Physiofit sponsor Alderley Edge Cricket Club
This season we have been delighted to once again sponsor the Alderley Edge Cricket Club First XI and have now expanded that to include the hugely successful junior sides. The First XI sported their Physiofit shirts as they narrowly beat Elworth to victory to clinch the Cheshire Cup, Cheshire’s premier cricket knock-out competition, two years running having previously not won the competition for 32 years. Their junior sides were equally successful winning the U15 and U11 league titles.
Maggie Brown retires
Following the birth of her 2nd grandchild Maggie has decided to retire from physio to spend more time indulging the latest love of her life, her grandchildren. Maggie has been for ….. years the areas leading light in the field of Women’s Health, having establish a renowned out patient service at Macclesfield Hospital and over the last decade been serving the local patients from our clinic in Alderley Edge. She will be sorely missed both in the clinic by her colleagues and by the vast numbers of patients whose lives she has often transformed but we wish her well in her new life!
Jean celebrates her 10th anniversary @ Physiofit
2010 marks the 10th anniversary of Jean Thistleton becoming our longest serving physio at Physiofit. Jean has been a tremendously loyal member of the team, contributing at all levels to making the clinic as successful and happy as it is. She runs our ongoing CPD training programme and sets very high standards for us all by attending many courses and training events and sharing that knowledge with the rest of the team. She has set up our Headache Clinic and more recently has established out successful service for patients with dizziness as a result of BPPV.
Tytherington and AZ clinics close
After a year spent developing Physiofit at the Tytherington Club and Club AZ at Astra Zeneca I recently made the decision to cease trading from the two sites. It was a good experience to run multiple sites but was ultimately going to me make me go grey far sooner than I planned for. I am pleased to be back in Alderley Edge full time and can really focus on our client base there and providing our trademark high standards.
Podiatry services
Deborah Pace, our new Podiatrist and Chiropodist who joined us in June is proving to be a huge success both with patients and colleagues alike. She has soon established a great reputation for her ability to identify the root course of patient’s foot problems and addresses these quickly and efficiently.
Sandy ties the knot
In June of this year we celebrated Sandy’s wedding to Oliver. It was a beautiful day at Adlington Hall and it was great for us all to be together with Sandy’s friends and family to watch them take the plunge and witness how happy they looked together.
